The club undertakes group hikes, advice new hikers and networks with other hikers to popularise Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve.
The relationship of this Club chaired by businessman and advent hiker Alex Elshove secured funding for the restoration of the fifth overnight hut called Steenbok hut.
With the current active partnership We trust that forging public private partnerships such as these, will enhance service delivery and ensure that the public protects assets meant to benefit them.
Collaborations can only improve the hiking experience of many South Africans who visit our reserves. The restoration of the fifth hut will enable the public to once again enjoy hiking and explore Suikerbosrand tranquility to the fullest.

We thank Alex for his efforts at Suikerbosrand. Not only did he put a group of hikers together to help restore the Steenbok overnight hut he also encouraged all of us to donate to the families of the workers who were affected by the fire.
