Saturday or Sunday hikes are normally for a full day. A packed lunch is usually required for day hikes unless 'braai' is indicated on the program. It is necessary to contact leaders of the day hikes to inform them of your intention to attend such hikes (unless the program states 'book with Gretta') and to check arrangements.
An entrance fee is usually charged by landowners.
